The dimensions of ACK Metal steel safes range from the small E-400 home safe, 400 mm high, to the T-1600 rifle safe, 1600 mm high; weights vary from approximately 140 kg to 1100 kg. In the table below you will find the height, width, depth, weight and external volume of all the standard models.

The same model is produced in several colours and interior layouts (for example, the W-1000, W-1200, T-1500 and T-1600 each come in two different versions); dimensions and weights are identical across versions.

External volume and usable volume are not the same

The litre figure in the table is calculated from the safe's external dimensions. ACK Metal safes have a thick, concrete-filled body and a multi-layer door, so the usable interior volume is always smaller than the external volume. Comparing the size of the largest item you want to store (a document folder, a laptop, a boxed watch, a long-barrelled firearm) with the safe's interior dimensions is more reliable than looking at the litre figure alone.

Why does safe weight matter?

Weight is one of the most decisive features of a safe, for both security and placement. A heavy safe cannot be pulled out and carried away; even ACK Metal's smallest model, the E-400, weighs approximately 160 kg. On the other hand, weight also calls for planning around the floor the safe will stand on and the route it will be carried along: for the heaviest models (the T-1500 at approximately 1100 kg), floor strength and the transport route should be checked in advance. Your orders are delivered and installed in 81 provinces; you can ask our installation team for support before positioning.

4 steps to choosing the right size

  1. List what you will store. Measure the largest item: a document folder, a laptop, a watch box or the length of a firearm.
  2. Allow for the future. Choose not for today's needs but for what you will have accumulated in a few years' time; do not fill the interior completely.
  3. Measure the placement area. In addition to the safe's height, width and depth, allow for the clearance needed to open the door.
  4. Check the transport route and the floor. Door widths, stairs and lift dimensions, together with floor strength, matter especially for the heavier models.
